Mary Jane (Krolick) Rehorst passed away on February 23rd at Allisonville Meadows, Fishers, IN.   She was born August 2, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI to Bernhard and Elizabeth Krolick, the youngest of 4 children. She graduated from South Division High School and worked for 7 years at the Rex Chain Belt company. Mary Jane married Gerald John Rehorst on September 3, 1949 and shared 48 years of love and marriage with him, until his passing in 1997.

For many years Mary Jane helped to raise 3 children, was an excellent homemaker and did part time bookkeeping work out of the family home. From Milwaukee she moved to Indiana and Singapore due to her husband’s career. Through the years she was active with the Christian Mothers, Meals on Wheels and the Singapore American Women’s Club. Ultimately, retirement brought her to Port Charlotte, FL where she enjoyed card clubs, travel, visits from family and friends and watching her Green Bay Packers every football season.

In 2005 as her health declined, Mary Jane moved north to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She continued to enjoy some limited travel, dinners at her son and daughters’ homes, going to see her grandkids play soccer and lacrosse, and rides through the parks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Rehorst, brothers, Bernard (Claire) Krolick, Paul (Alice) Krolick, James (Arline) Krolick and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her children; Kathleen Rehorst, Las Vegas, David (Sue) Rehorst, Dayton, OH, Lisa (Paul) Doss, Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Nicole Rehorst, Tori, John and David Doss; sisters-in-law, Claire Krolick and Carol Rehorst; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be traveling to Florida in March to join Mary Jane’s ashes with those of Jerry’s in the memorial garden of San Antonio’s Parish, Port Charlotte, FL.
